Hotel Muse Bangkok
55/555 Soi Langsuan Ploenchit Road Lumpini Pathumwan, Wireless / Chidlom, Bangkok, Thailand 10330
Very cool hotel in early Twentieth Century French style
The Hotel Muse Bangkok was opened in 2011. Impressive in appearance externally as it is internally, the Hotel Muse Bangkok is definitely in the top tier of hotels in the city. If this wasn't enough, the hotel is located smack bang in the middle of town near the US Embassy and Lumpini Park. The Skytrain is within walking distance as is Siam Square if you fancy an early morning stroll.
The interior of Hotel Muse Bangkok is unlike anything else you will find in the city. The hotel is decked out in fin de siècle style with dark wood and ornate decoration. It looks like something you would find in Paris rather than Bangkok. The facilities are excellent also. There are two top notch restaurants: the award-winning Medici serving Italian food, and Babette's, a Chicago style steak. The hotel has its own entertainment zone, the Speakeasy, on the 24th and 25th floor. This zone includes three bars, a library, a cigar lounge and three private rooms. The menu for the Speakeasy has been designed by Michelin Star Chef Jean Baptiste.
There is a good gym and spa, and a stylish roof top pool area with stunning skyline views and the all important poolside bar. The gym features cardio machines with built in 7 inch LCD touchscreens, iPod compatibility and USB connectivity to tailor your workouts.
There are six types of room: Jatu Deluxe (39sqm) with free standing bath tub; Dowadueng Corner Deluxe (39sqm) with dual aspect views; Yama Residence (39sqm) on the top six floors; Dusit Duplex (76sqm) with bedroom and living area on separate floors; Nimman Suite (84sqm) with terrace; and Paranim Penthouse (216sqm) with two bathrooms and three terraces. All rooms have top notch amenities like 65 channel Internet Protocol TV and tea and coffee making facilities. When booking a room it is worth noting that upper floors (18th up) have stunning city views and are well worth the extra expense.
