Excellent value for money
For what you get, we say the Imm Fusion Sukhumvit may be the best value for money in Bangkok. However, what we really like about this hotel is the effort they have made with the decoration. The pool area, the restaurant and the lobby have all been tastefully designed in Moroccan style. This may sound a bit of an odd choice in Bangkok, and indeed it is, but it works very well. Nice tiling, cushions and earth tones beats the usual white painted walls you find in a lot of Bangkok hotels these days.
The Imm Fusion Sukhumvit has pretty much all the facilities you need for a few days stay in the city. There is a pool, a spa and a fitness room. Free WiFi throughout the hotel. The catering is OK as well. The breakfast is functional and the restaurant has really good meal deals for a basic menu. When we stayed they were doing one-plate meals for 45 baht a plate (about 1.5 USD). The hotel is really close to the Skytrain (about 200 metres) so it is quick to get around. In fact, taking account of the walk, this hotel is actually more convenient than many of the more centrally located hotels. If you come here expecting the Four Seasons you will be disappointed; however, if you are after something inexpensive you can't go wrong. There are also a fair few attractions within walking distance. At night there is a lively food market near the Skytrain station. In and around Soi 55 (the hotel is on Soi 50) you will find an area called Thong Lor, which is the up and coming bar and restaurant area in Bangkok. The tourists haven't really discovered Thong Lor yet and it remains pretty much the exclusive preserve of hip and well to do Bangkokers.
There are three room types: Standard rooms, Superior rooms and Deluxe rooms. All are air-conditioned, en-suite and have satellite TV. The TVs aren't big, but then again neither is the price.
