Good quality, good location, good value for money
The Triple Two Silom is a solid performer for this price range. The hotel is near to the bars and restaurants of Silom but not so close as to stop you getting a good night's sleep. The rooms are large and well kept with all the necessary amenities. There is a decent and affordable restaurant offering buffets at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Few people seem to have complaints about this mid-range hotel making it a safe bet, especially for first timers to Bangkok.
The Narai Hotel Group is pretty good at giving tourists what they want. This isn't their first hotel and that experience shines through. They have ticked all the boxes: swimming pool, spa, gym, free WiFi, affordable decent food, well trained staff and more than that they have created an attractive hotel. The furnishings in the room look good. The lobby has a nice modern design with references to Thai heritage. We even like the small courtyard garden. Everything looks well-maintained and clean. Good basic service for a good price. If you want better, more art, more facilities, or the such like, you are going to need to put your hand in your pocket. We think that Thailand should be about good value for money - some Thai hotel operators seem not to agree, and we urge them to give more thought to the increasing cost of air fares and the dwindling family budgets of western visitors. Triple Two Silom is pitched just right for this market.
There are a reassuring small number of room types to choose from. There is the Deluxe Room (45sqm) and the Junior Suite (60sqm). Both room types have sofas, flat screen TVs, writing desks, walk-in closets and oversized showers.
